The tulips are a bit wet and cold today. Frankly, they're somewhat confused. On Monday, we had a lovely day. So lovely, that JT and I fired up the grill and ate our supper outdoors on the back deck, wiggling our toes in the warmth.
It was standard summer fare around here.
And it was lovely. But temperatures fell all day Tuesday. Today is rainy and cold.
I am grateful that Robert Mueller is on the job because I have grown weary of the bully-in-chief. He’s bad for the world and worse than that for our nation. I like to read (I just finished Sherman Alexie’s The Lone Ranger and Tonto Fistfight in Heaven), garden, cook, and talk.
I love… holiday plans, Mason jars, twinkling lights, the smell of piney branches, a good book, Christmas ribbon, holiday cooking, cheery plaid skirts, the smooth feel of velvet, advent calendars, spiced cider, a steamy mug of tea on a cold night, soft nightgowns, a good book, address labels, morning coffee, cashmere sweaters, the smell of cedar, time to write, and the tired feel of a good workout.
