Amaryllis Tuesday: Week 8, February 14
When I first come downstairs in the morning darkness, I give the amaryllis a little pep talk. At the start of this week, there are four weeks between me and Spring Break. My amaryllis bloom looks to be even closer than that.
Spring is on its way and I’m practically giddy about it!
I long for a few days free from Trump’s persistent diminution of our nation. Anxiety for our future is taking its toll. I like to read (I just finished an old favorite, Miss Read’s Winter in Thrush Green ), garden, cook, and talk.
I love….time to be outside, lengthening days, cats in the windowsill, flip flop weather, tiny peaches on my peach tree, fresh sheets on the bed, soft quilts, time off, my garden, completed chores, red sandals, blue skirts, fresh pedicures, outdoor lights, double begonias, my stack of summer books, the new chairs on the back deck, my fairy garden, and days with time enough to work out.
