When I first come downstairs in the morning darkness, I give the amaryllis a little pep talk. At the start of this week, there are four weeks between me and Spring Break. My amaryllis bloom looks to be even closer than that.
Spring is on its way and I’m practically giddy about it!
I’ve come to believe that the GOP will tolerate anything that Trump says or does so long as they don’t lose power. That’s a dangerous place for our nation to live. The absence of leadership takes it toll on all of us. I like to read (I just finished Laura Ingalls Wilder’s On the Banks of Plum Creek), garden, cook, and talk.
I love… lush green grass in late summer, picking tomatoes from my garden, homemade jam, back-to-school traditions, 7th graders, comfy shoes, good books, lavish flower bouquets, cool mornings on the front porch, fresh bedding, my bulletin board, snapshots with trim white borders, red prints, back to school plans, tidy floors, comfortable routines, the arrival of sweater weather, and time for a workout.
