The Halloween flag made it through Thanksgiving, unfurled and ready to celebrate some kind of Fall holiday.
The real challenge, of course, will be making it through this weekend. No one enjoys hanging Christmas lights when it’s below freezing and with temperatures in the 60s yesterday and today, the rest of the neighborhood is scrambling to get out Christmas decorations before cold takes hold. I’ve come to believe that the GOP will tolerate anything that Trump says or does so long as they don’t lose power. That’s a dangerous place for our nation to live. The absence of leadership takes it toll on all of us. I like to read (I just finished Laura Ingalls Wilder’s On the Banks of Plum Creek), garden, cook, and talk.
I love… lush green grass in late summer, picking tomatoes from my garden, homemade jam, back-to-school traditions, 7th graders, comfy shoes, good books, lavish flower bouquets, cool mornings on the front porch, fresh bedding, my bulletin board, snapshots with trim white borders, red prints, back to school plans, tidy floors, comfortable routines, the arrival of sweater weather, and time for a workout.
