Unseasonal and Unkind: Week 5
The Halloween flag made it through Thanksgiving, unfurled and ready to celebrate some kind of Fall holiday.
The real challenge, of course, will be making it through this weekend. No one enjoys hanging Christmas lights when it’s below freezing and with temperatures in the 60s yesterday and today, the rest of the neighborhood is scrambling to get out Christmas decorations before cold takes hold. Stay tuned for your Week 6 report!
I think Donald Trump is a national disgrace. I look forward to a November 2018 reckoning and I’m doing my part to make that happen. I like to read (I just finished Helen Simonson’s The Summer Before the War), garden, cook, and talk.
I love… twilight, hosta leaves, fairy lights, impatiens, front porches and back decks, green leaves, mowing the grass, fresh pedicures, blackberries, sandal weather, soft quilts, summer break, party planning, handwritten notes, rhododendron blooms, soaking rains, a certain high school graduate, reading on the front porch, soaking up the sun on the backdeck, peony flowers, and time for a good workout.
